Pillars vs. Pods

Common sense may tell you what the difference between a pillar and a pod is, but for the rest of us a little help is greatly appreciated.

A Pillar is just that, it is a driver side "A" pillar replacement/ cover that replaces/ covers the whole driver side "A" pillar from dash to headliner in one seamless piece to make the installation look like a factory installed option.

A Pod is a partial pillar that covers a portion of the driver side "A" pillar. Usually the lower portion of the driver side "A" pillar is covered from dash to just above the mounting location of the upper gauge housing.

Now if that wasn't confusing enough some vehicles will have an option for a right side/ passenger side Pillar or Pod mount or Dash Mounted Cluster. **** Not available for all vehicles, option will be noted if it is available for your vehicle.

Both Pillar's and Pod's will have 2-1/16" gauge openings to fit all of Dakota Digital 2-1/16" Digital Gauges and most aftermarket gauges.
